WRITE IN STEPHEN REPLIN · COLORADO DISTRICT 1

Common sense. Independent judgment. Colorado first.

Stephen Replin is running to bring practical experience, plain-spoken accountability, and an independent voice to Congress.

PRIORITIES FOR COLORADO'S FIRST DISTRICT

Affordability & Housing

Lower the everyday costs of housing, insurance, food, energy, child care, health care, and taxes—and make it easier to build attainable homes near jobs and transit.

Safe Streets & Accountability

Fully fund professional policing, insist on real standards, and pair public safety with effective behavioral-health and treatment services.

Small Business, Jobs & Opportunity

Small businesses create jobs and strengthen local communities. Make it easier to start, grow, hire, and compete by reducing needless barriers, improving access to capital, and giving small businesses a fair opportunity to win federal contracts.

A PRACTICAL, INDEPENDENT PLATFORM

Honest about costs.

Focused on results.

Steve’s test is straightforward: Does a proposal protect people’s rights and safety, tell the truth about its cost, and produce results for Colorado?

01

HEALTH CARE & FAMILY OPPORTUNITY

Protect Medicare and coverage for preexisting conditions, lower prescription-drug and insurance costs, expand patient choice, and make quality childcare easier to find and afford.

02

WATER, PUBLIC LANDS & WILDFIRE

Base Colorado River policy on water that actually exists and can be reliably delivered; not on promises of water that is not there. Invest in conservation and reuse, protect public lands, and strengthen wildfire prevention, forest health, and watersheds.

03

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY, FAIR TAXES & THE NATIONAL DEBT

Put the federal budget on a credible path toward balance and, when economic conditions permit, surpluses that begin reducing the national debt. Cut waste and unnecessary spending, simplify the tax code, eliminate unjustified special-interest provisions, and require government to explain how major new spending will be paid for.

04

ABORTION, REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM, RIGHTS & THE RULE OF LAW

Protect the right to choose abortion and reproductive health care. Defend constitutional rights, support secure elections and transparent government, and apply the same rule of law and standard of accountability regardless of party, position, wealth, or power.

05

COMPASSION FOR THE HOMELESS WITH MEASURABLE RESULTS

Connect housing for the homeless with treatment, recovery, case management, and employment while keeping parks, sidewalks, transit, and neighborhood businesses safe, clean, and accessible.

06

STRONG, RESPONSIBLE NATIONAL SECURITY

Support our troops and allies while requiring lawful authorization, clear objectives, realistic costs, and a credible exit strategy before committing the United States to military action.

07

PROTECT SOCIAL SECURITY

Protect earned Social Security benefits and strengthen the program's finances for the long term so today's workers can count on it when they retire. Develop a responsible plan to restore long-term solvency without breaking promises made to current retirees. That financial issue is real and near-term: the 2026 Social Security Trustees project that the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund can pay full scheduled benefits until the fourth quarter of 2032; absent changes, continuing income would then cover about 78% of scheduled benefits.

08

AI, JOBS & HUMAN OPPORTUNITY

Prepare workers for the AI economy, protect people from unfair or harmful uses of artificial intelligence, and address the effect of rapidly changing technology on jobs, privacy, opportunity, and the workplace.

09

RESPONSIBLE LIMITS ON DATA CENTERS

Protect Colorado's limited water and power resources. Require large data centers to pay the infrastructure costs they create and demonstrate real, lasting benefits to the communities where they locate.

10

IMMIGRATION & BORDER MANAGEMENT

Secure the borders, improve the legal immigration system, and enforce immigration laws fairly. Local police should focus on crime, emergencies, and public safety—not serve as routine civil-immigration enforcement officers

11

PUBLIC SAFETY & PROFESSIONAL POLICING

Support adequate police staffing, strong recruitment and training, modern equipment and technology, effective emergency response, and meaningful accountability. Keep police focused on crime, violence, emergencies, and protecting neighborhoods.

12

VIOLENT CRIME & ACCOUNTABILITY

Support strong enforcement of violent-crime laws and federal resources for local law enforcement, including funding, training, technology, and joint violent-crime investigations. People convicted of serious violent crimes should face meaningful consequences, with public safety given serious consideration in sentencing, parole, and release decisions, consistent with due process.

13

CLEAN GOVERNMENT: FIGHT CORRUPTION, BRIBERY & NEPOTISM

Fight bribery, self-dealing, conflicts of interest, favoritism, and misuse of public office throughout the federal government. Strengthen federal anti-nepotism rules, financial disclosure, independent oversight, whistleblower protections, and competitive contracting. Public office should never be used to enrich an official, reward family members or friends, or provide special treatment to favored businesses. The rules should apply equally to everyone, including the most powerful people in government.

14

MAKE AFFORDABILITY A TEST FOR FEDERAL POLICY

Before Washington acts, ask what its decision will do to the cost of living. Reduce or eliminate tariffs that raise consumer prices without a clear national-security or strategic benefit. Pursue policies that lower gasoline and diesel costs because transportation costs flow through the entire supply chain. Increase competition to reduce housing, healthcare, and consumer costs. Eliminate waste and unnecessary government expenses. Government should consider what its decisions will ultimately cost American families.
